CESTAS
SOLAR POWER STATION (France)
Context
Investment in the construction, commissioning, and management of solar power plants together with Neoen.
Business
The Cestas ground station inaugurated in December 2015 is the most powerful in Europe. Composed of nearly one million modules, the power plant covers 250 hectares of land with total power of 300MW, which is equivalent to household consumption in the city of Bordeaux. The design and construction of the plant was entrusted to a consortium including Eiffage, Schneider Electric, and Krinner. Clemessy and Schneider Electric are responsible for its operations and maintenance. The photovoltaic system is directly connected to the RTE network, which adapted its electrical network in order to connect to this production site.
